How to request deletion

Email contact@apedoctor.lk with the subject "Delete my Ape Doctor account", or submit the same request through our contact form.

    Send the request from the email address linked to your account whenever possible.

    Include your full name and the registered email address or phone number. Do not send your password, OTP, payment card details, or unnecessary medical documents.

  3. 3

    Ape Doctor support may ask for limited additional information to verify account ownership and protect your data.

  4. 4

    After verification, support will confirm the request and begin deleting the account and associated data.

Data scheduled for deletion

  • Your patient account, authentication links, profile details, profile photo, and device tokens.
  • Medical history details and personal notes that are not subject to a required retention period.
  • Open appointment requests, notification preferences, reviews, and support content that can be deleted.
  • Uploaded service-request files and payment slips that are no longer required for an active transaction or dispute.

Data that may be retained

  • Completed consultation, prescription, payment, refund, and audit records where retention is required for clinical, accounting, regulatory, or legal purposes.
  • Records connected to an unresolved payment dispute, safety investigation, fraud review, complaint, or legal hold.
  • De-identified or aggregated information that can no longer be linked to your account.

Processing and retention timeline

Verified deletion requests are normally completed within 30 days. Data in encrypted backups may remain for up to 90 days before routine deletion. Records that must be retained for healthcare, tax, accounting, payment disputes, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, or legal claims are isolated from normal account use and kept only for the minimum applicable retention period. We will identify any retained categories in the deletion confirmation.

Account deletion is permanent. After completion, you will no longer be able to sign in or recover the deleted account.
